Engagement action idea generator

Build rich and interesting experiences for your supporters!

An engagement action is a way to actively involve your supporters that isn't a campaigning or donation action. They can achieve a number of audience-focused objectives such as building knowledge of an issue, building empathy, commitment and much more. This idea generator can help you spark new ideas or reshape old ones. Click 'generate a new idea' to randomly generate a new objective and engagement action.

#14 Objective

Gather insights from lived experience

Your supporters have a wealth of lived experience - use it to gain real world insight into how an issue affects them. For example, a disability charity might ask supporters about their experience of discrimination in the workplace, and use the results to support their calls for change. It’s important to have a clear reason you’re asking for supporters for personal information, a plan for what you’re going to do with it, and if appropriate, support in place for people who share stories or problems.

#125 Engagement action

Peer-to-peer network

Taking on climate change alone feels overwhelming. Provide networking opportunities for supporters to meet and connect with each other. It can be an interactive map, an online group, or face-to-face meet ups. People will feel supported to take action when supported by their peers.
